Momentum, velocity accelerates near graduation

In the experiment called life, it's all about transitioning - about starting new research. As a senior, my life has been catalyzed, propelled forward at a seemingly unstoppable velocity. Graduating disturbs the equilibrium I've so carefully maintained throughout my undergraduate career.

Top universities admit WU NIH-INBRE research grads

Eight Winthrop biology and chemistry seniors have been accepted into top Ph.D. programs, including Harvard, Duke and Notre Dame. What do these students have in common? They all have conducted biomedical research, funded by a competitive grant from the National Institute of Health (NIH).

American culture, society 'supports rape'

Rape, and sexual harassment in general, isn't confined to dark alleys and total strangers. Some people know their attacker: They are raped by a close friend or someone they have been intimate with before. On April 6, the improvisation theater troupe Skin Deep hosted an event called "When a Date Becomes a Crime" that focused on sexual assault and rape.
