Bader eclipses personal record in senior year

Bader, an integrated marketing communication major, became interested in playing soccer at an early age.
"I started at a young age and my sister influenced me to play soccer," Bader said.
Bader, 5'4" is a native of Lawrenceville, Ga. who attended Collins High School where she won rookie of the year and MVP during her tenure there. She has played 53 games for the Eagles during her college career and has posted three scores during that time period; she also recorded her first career assist last season.
When asked why she chose to play at Winthrop, she responded.
"I had a friend that played here and she invited me to one of her games," she said. I had the opportunity to watch the game and to meet the coach. I was later offered a scholarship to Winthrop."
Bader's future plans after college involves putting her degree to work.
"In the future, I do not plan on pursuing soccer as a career; instead I'm going to move back to Georgia and work," she said. "I may play for an adult league later on."
When her team will begin conference play on Wednesday, Nov. 7th. The Big South Conference soccer tournament will be Bader's along with five other senior's final tournament.
"I expect us to advance to the finals and win the conference championship," Bader said, "After that I expect us to possibly go further."
