Homecoming applications due
Applications for Homecoming King and Queen 2009 must be turned in by 5 p.m. Feb. 6, and can be found online at www.winthrop.edu/homecoming. If you have any questions, e-mail clubsorgs@winthrop.edu or dial 323-4500.
Love costs a dollar
Zeta Phi Beta will sell raffle tickets for $1 now through Feb. 13. The prize is a "love basket," which includes two movie tickets, chocolate, an Olive Garden gift card and a Bath and Body Works collection. See any Zeta Phi Beta member for details.

As part of National Teach-In on Global Warming Solutions, there will be a free cultural event showing a new Webcast, "The First One-Hundred Days," at 1 p.m. Feb. 6 in Sims 209. A discussion panel will follow.
Literary minds meet
The Literary Society will hold its first meeting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 10 in Bancroft 271 to discuss future events and what the first reading selection should be. Pizza will be served. For more information, e-mail Lacey Long at longl2@winthrop.edu.
Courtyard builds
friendships
The Courtyard will host a meet-and-greet for students at 7 p.m. Feb. 8 in the second-floor conference room. Interested students must pick up a questionnaire from the Courtyard's front desk and complete it by 9 p.m. Feb. 6. The meet-and-greet will allow students to find roommates for next semester.
SEAC needs Webmaster
The Student Environmental Action Coalition needs a Webmaster to build and maintain the group's upcoming Web site. For more information, e-mail carltonj2@winthrop.edu with the subject line "Webmaster." Include links ofany previous Web site work.
Bat girls boost morale
The 2009 Eagles baseball team is looking for bat girls for the upcoming competitive season. As part of the Grand Slam Girl organization, bat girls must come to a mandatory amount of games set by a contract and help with marketing, retrieving foul balls, retrieving bats on the field and passing out baseball camp information to children who attend the games. For more information, contact assistant baseball coach Kyle DiEduardo at dieduardok@winthrop.edu or call 323-6318 for an application.
