I am writing in response to Joe Garnett's column that was printed two weeks ago on important software that may be obtained for free.
I found his article to be extremely helpful and I want to thank Garnett for taking the time to research and print such beneficial information.
I am the proud new owner of a Sony Vaio and unfortunately, cannot afford to pay for a subscription to an anti-virus program. As soon as I read Mr. Garnett's article, I checked out the Avast! Antivirus software and promptly downloaded it along with the Comodo firewall protection. The programs appear to be working great, and I, along with my pocketbook, am very grateful.
Thanks again.

Dear Jessica,
On behalf of all campus youth ministries, I am sorry. I am the Secretary of Winthrop's Chi Alpha chapter.
Now, don't get confused by the Greek letters. We are not a Greek organization. We are a college campus ministry, affiliated with the Assemblies of God. We are a relatively small group and we meet on Monday nights at eight in Bancroft 267 or 264, depending on the night.
I just wanted to let you know that I am sorry for the way that you feel other campus ministries have treated you and your friends. I have been a Christian for a long time but the only campus ministry I have ever been involved in is Chi Alpha so I don't really know what goes on in other ministries.
The purpose of Chi Alpha is to make people feel welcome and show them the love of Christ. We aren't like everyone else and judging people is not our style.
I hope that you have been encouraged and think about dropping by one night. We would love to have you. Thanks for your time and your honesty in The Johnsonian.

I am in complete agreement with Thomas Cornelius's column "April fools prank damages worthy cause." Why would a group that wants you to join their cause, ruin your property to get you to tag along? A mature, effective group wouldn't.
